This course describes the architecture of Vignette Portal and examines the supported portlet frameworks.
It evaluates the overall differences of the portlet frameworks: PortalBeans, JSR 168 and WSRP, but focuses on the JSR 168 portlet development.
It also demonstrates how to extend this framework to build custom portlets and Portal applications.

This course examines the key features, functionality, and capabilities of Vignette Portal. Students take on the role of a Portal Site Administrator to create and configure Portal sites, users, groups, portlets, pages, and site navigation.
Managing Portal Server and Sites explores both server and site administration tasks, including how to migrate sites between hosts, delegate administrative tasks to users, localize sites and site components, share components among sites and tailor the site’s appearance.
