Axelerator
Using Axelerator, clients are able to:
- Automate processes end to end, eg. from quote to policy
- Close business faster by applying rules real-time at agent and customer touchpoints
- Improve efficiencies and reduce costs through use of Smart Forms
- Gain insights to optimize product definitions and channel mix.
Axelerator consist of 4 core components:
- Platform - services for rules engine and session management
- Studio - rules entry and workflow definition
- Mobile - mobile module with rules active in off-line client
- Data Extract - extract of session data for reporting warehouse.
Axelerator Platform
The platform contains the core services to run Axelerator applications. It is a multi-tenanted environment supporting multiple rule-sets making it flexible as an enabling platform for many business processes within and between organizations.
Key services contained within the platform include:
- Axelerator server
- Rules engine
- Session management
- Security
- Page/Document generation
- Web-services
- Database connectors.
The Axelerator Platform runs on leading J2EE environments - JBoss (open source), IBM WebSphere and BEA WebLogic. The presentation layer may be deployed to either Java or .NET clients.
Axelerator Studio
Studio is used to enter and maintain rule sets. It is easy to use, so business people are able to manage their business rules directly. This includes adding new rules, changing workflow and use of reflexive questions.
Web forms and workflow are generated directly from rules and section layouts defined in Studio.
Studio also generates a Rules Report which defines in detail the operation of each rule.
Axelerator Mobile
This module runs standalone to the main Axelerator system in an off-line/disconnected mode. It is a complete client application containing the relevant rule-set for the agent user.
Data captured by the mobile application and the local rule-set is updated each time the agent connects to the main system. Most importantly though, a real-time connection to the main system is not required in order to use the application.
By having a local copy of the rules, agents and advisors are empowered to transact business real-time with their customers in accordance with the business rules of the organization. This saves tremendous time as business can be closed immediately if it falls within defined parameters. Equally important, corporate governance controls apply as business can only be transacted in accordance with the rules.
Axelerator Mobile runs on standard Windows XP or Vista laptops. It self-installs easily without the need for technical support. Data is stored locally in encrypted form to ensure security and replicated to the server on connection to the organization's network.
Axelerator Data Extract
This module extracts Axelerator session and database data to support reporting. The data is placed in a data warehouse to be used for analysis by standard reporting tools.
The data extracted includes:
- Responses to questions in Smart Forms
- Internal calculations in accordance with the rules
- Session statistics
- Selected data elements from the underlying database.
